A small studio with fifteen years of engineering behind it.

Stack Studio is run by Mark Dunbavan, a full-stack lead engineer who has worked with brands, agencies and startups for over 15 years.

Recent work includes principal tech lead on Starbucks' first Shopify build with Inviqa, tech lead at Birl as it set up its first engineering process, and custom Shopify apps for BRiMM and DBCO's clients.

Before that: tech lead at Midnight, lead developer at Projects by IF, and many years working inside agencies including Pentagram, Made by Many and Matter of Form.

    Agreeing the architecture up front is cheaper than changing it later.

    Use the platform first

    We use what Shopify and your other tools already do well, and add custom code where it helps.

    Leave things in good shape

    Documentation, process and standards stay with your team when the project ends.

    Care about the design

    We pay attention to UI details and accessibility, and can help with small design work.
